Monday Night East Region Round Up – 24.04.17

Round Up by Mark Johnson East Super League

Camelon were plunged deep in to danger and are now the new favourites to contest the Super league relegation play off following Monday nights defeat at home to Bonnyrigg Rose. The Falkirk side took the lead just after the quarter hour through David O’Brien as Bonnyrigg started slowly. Scott Gray levelled things up for Robbie Horn’s men before the break and Sean Jamieson got the winner in the second half to claim a vital three points, chasing down Kelty Hearts.

Linlithgow Rose who like Bonnyrigg exited the Scottish Junior Cup at the weekend, also started slowly at home to Dundonald Bluebell and were 2-0 down midway through the first half thanks to goals from John Martin and Barry Sibanda. Tommy Coyne pulled a goal back in the second half for Linlithgow and with Dundonald down to ten men due to injury deep in stoppage time, Mark Williams scored what could prove to be a vital equaliser for Todd Lumsdens side.

Bonnyrigg and Linlithgow are in action again on Wednesday evening in the Fife & Lothians Cup, Linlithgow travel to Glenrothes while Bonnyrigg face a trickier tie at Bo’ness United.
