3-3-6 4/1 LLLWWL Kello Rovers 11/2 Cambuslang Rangers WWWWLW 3/10 10-1-2

Rovers are fourth bottom and nineteen points behind second placed Rangers having played a game less, and the sides fought out a 3-3 draw when they last met. Defensively the sides are almost identical, though Cambuslang score a touch over twice as many goals as Kello. Rovers have played four league games in the past three months, winning two then losing last two back to back. Rangers have won six of last seven with the last three back to back.

3-2-9 8/15 WLLLLW Kilsyth Rangers 9/2 Larkhall Thistle XLLLWL 12/5 2-2-8

Second bottom Thistle are three places and six points behind Rangers but have played a couple of times less. After a good spell through October/November, Rangers then lost their next four league games before bouncing back last weekend with a win against Glencairn. Since their last league win at the start of September, Larkhall have only picked up two points from a possible eighteen but did beat Kilsyth 3-2 at the start of September.

0-5-8 3/1 LLLLXX Maryhill 9/2 Cumbernauld United LWLXXX 4/9 4-2-4

Maryhill find themselves struggling at the foot of the table and have yet to record a league win. They managed five draws from seven earlier in the season but have now lost all of their last four. United are mid table with fourteen points from ten, they’re unbeaten in their last five league games with three wins and two draws. But those five games stretch all the way back to late September, and they’ve only played one league game in last three months.

5-1-6 9/4 LLWWLW Rutherglen Glencairn 4/1 Largs Thistle WXLWWW 8/13 8-4-5

Mid table Glens are twelve points behind fourth placed Theesel and have played five games less. Glens lost their first three league games and have since improved enough to win five, draw one and lose three of their next nine and that includes a 2-0 defeat to Theesel. Largs have fared a little better by winning four, drawing three and just the one loss to Medda from their last eight league games.

4-0-6 21/10 LLLLWX East Kilbride Thistle 4/1 Glasgow Perthshire 5-2-6 4/6 WWLWXX

After a reasonably good start that saw them win four of their first six league games, Thistle’s league form has fallen away dramatically, and they’ve lost their last four. Benburb are in quite the opposite situation after making a poor start and losing their first five, they’ve now lost only two of their next nine. They’ve won five of those and drawn two with both the defeats coming against the top two sides, Benburb and Rossvale.

2-0-8 9/2 LLLLLL Lesmahagow Juniors 6/1 St. Roch’s LWXWLW 1/4 7-2-3

‘Gow are second bottom with only six points from ten games, they’ve lost all of their last five league matches shedding twenty-two goals for four scored in the process. Candy are fourth, thirteen points behind leaders Rossvale but still with three games in hand. They’d been on a good run since defeat by Wishaw in September, losing only to Rossvale in next seven until defeat to Glasgow Perthshire last weekend.

6-1-6 2/5 LLWWWL Port Glasgow 5/1 Thorniewood United LXLLWL 31/10 0-1-7

Port are fifth from top but well off the pace at seventeen points behind leaders Rossvale, they’ve been beaten by decent Bens and Neilston sides in their last two but won four of five before beforehand. United are struggling at the foot of the table and haven’t played a league game in the months, the only point that they’ve managed to pick up was against Port Glasgow back at the beginning of September.

12-0-3 2/5 WWLWWW Rossvale 5/1 Shotts Bon Accord LWLLWW 31/10 4-0-6

League leaders Rossvale are twenty-four points to the good over Shotts, although the Hannah Park side have played five games less. Vale are two points ahead of Bens in second place and have won their last eight league matches since losing 3-2 away at Shotts. For their part, Shotts have been on a sequence of win one, lose one for their last eight in the league.

8-3-2 6/5 WWXLWL Royal Albert 18/5 Bellshill Athletic WWLWWW 6/5 9-0-4

Both clubs have twenty-seven points from thirteen matches and they’re almost identical in terms of defence, what separates the sides is Royal Albert’s ability to score a touch under a goal a game more than Athletic. Albert lost to Gartcairn on the opening day and have lost just once since then and go into this off the back of two wins, whilst Bellshill have won their last five league games since defeat to Gartcairn.

6-3-7 4/7 LXLLLW Carluke Rovers 21/5 Johnstone Burgh XLLWLL 12/5 3-1-6

Rovers have played six more games than second bottom Burgh and have eleven extra points as a result. They’ve earned the majority of their points from two short spells before the winter break, more recently they’ve taken one point from a possible fifteen. Burgh are averaging three goals conceded for every two scored, they’ve only played four league games since late September and picked up one point from them.

9-1-3 2/5 WLXWLW Gartcairn 5/1 Lanark United LXWXWL 31/10 4-6-5

Gartcairn are three points behind leaders St. Anthony’s and United are ten points behind Cairn having played twice more. They drew 3-3 at Moor Park in September and have won four of their last six league games and scoring fifteen in last two, whilst Lanark have won two, drawn three and lost three.

0-0-12 8/1 LLLLLL Newmains United 7/1 St. Anthony’s WWWLWW 2/17 10-1-4

There’s not much that can be said about Newmains other than they’ve yet to earn a league point and they’re rooted to the bottom of the table. They’ve scored eleven times in their twelve matches and conceded seventy-seven. Ant’s hammered United 7-1 early on in the season, they’re now three points ahead of Gartcairn in first place having played a couple of games more. Recent form has seen them win seven of their last nine.

6-0-2 2/5 WXWWWX Wishaw Juniors 5/1 Forth Wanderers LWXWWL 31/10 2-0-6

Both sides have only managed to get eight league games played to date, but Wishaw have taken eighteen points and Wanderers six. Wishaw have been beaten only twice in the league, firstly by then leaders Benburb, more recently by current leaders Rossvale. In the same vain, Forth have managed only two league wins to date, but their last two fixtures have seen them beat second placed Benburb 4-3 and give a good account of themselves against Rossvale, where they lost 4-3, the exact same scoreline as Wishaw faced.
