BO’NESS UNITED have signed striker Allan MacKenzie from Pollok Juniors. MacKenzie, who had two spells at Newlandsfield Park, won promotion with ‘Lok back to the Super Premier League in 2016, and was part of the squad which lost out to Beith in the Scottish Junior Cup final at Rugby Park the following year.



 WISHAW Juniors are inviting interested parties to apply for the vacant manager’s post after John Brogan left the Beltane this week. Club Official Alex Young is available for an informal chat, and C.V.’s should be tendered to




LANARK United have moved quickly to appoint Colin Slater as their new manager after parting company with Paul Burns. Slater, who will have Cameron McNeish and Craig Martin in his backroom staff, had a previous spell with Carluke Rovers as their boss, and is set for a quick return against them (weather permitting) on Saturday.




SALTCOATS Vics have revealed Gary Russell is taking over as player-manager on an interim basis following George Grierson’s shock move to Whitletts Victoria. Grierson only took over at Campbell Park in October, and the Seasiders, third from bottom in the Ayrshire District League, travel to Dalry Thistle on Saturday.
